Undergrad/Post-Bacc Opportunities
As an undergraduate research assistant or a post baccalaureate, you will have the opportunity to work closely with Dr. Heather Jones, a tenured Associate Professor at Virginia Commonwealth University. Dr. Jones' work is focused on Black children and their families, maternal mental health, and training the next generation of health service psychologists.
While working in the Families and Mental Health lab, you may gain hands-on experience with such research tasks as analyzing data, participating in lab meetings, and creating a research poster. Ideal candidates will possess a strong interest in clinical psychology or research, good organizational skills, and a commitment to making a positive impact in the community. This role is perfect for students seeking valuable experience to prepare for future endeavors in higher education or research careers.
